RF Jamming Classification Using Relative Speed Estimation in Vehicular Wireless Networks

چکیده

Wireless communications are vulnerable against radio frequency (RF) interference which might be caused either intentionally or unintentionally. A particular subset of wireless networks, Vehicular Ad-hoc NETworks (VANET), incorporate a series safety-critical applications, may potential target RF jamming with detrimental safety effects. To ensure secure between entities and in order to make the network robust this type attacks, an accurate detection scheme must adopted. In paper, we introduce that is based on supervised learning. The k-nearest neighbors (KNN) random forest (RaFo) methods used, including features, among one metric variations relative speed (VRS) jammer receiver. VRS estimated from combined value useful signal at KNN-VRS RaFo-VRS classification algorithms able detect various cases denial-of-service (DoS) attacks differentiate those very high accuracy.

Speed Estimation using RF signatures

Speed estimation algorithm based on the relative RF estimates at the antennae of a self contained MIMO device is discussed. The algorithm gives average error of 5% for both high and low variable speeds. The scheme does not require a priori information about the wireless channel, so no large databases are needed. Its computational complexity is relatively low and techniques for increasing the pe...

RF Bearing Estimation in Wireless Sensor Networks

This paper introduces a novel method for bearing estimation based on a rotating antenna generating a Doppler shifted RF signal. The small frequency change can be measured even on low cost resource constrained nodes using a radio interferometric technique introduced previously. Measuring the Doppler shift at two known locations provides a bearing estimate to the rotating node. An alternative app...

Relative location estimation in wireless sensor networks

Self-configuration in wireless sensor networks is a general class of estimation problems that we study via the Cramér–Rao bound (CRB). Specifically, we consider sensor location estimation when sensors measure received signal strength (RSS) or time-of-arrival (TOA) between themselves and neighboring sensors. A small fraction of sensors in the network have a known location, whereas the remaining ...

Speed estimation in wireless systems using wavelets

A new technique is described for estimating the speed of a mobile station in a wireless system. The mobile speed maps the characteristic spatial scale of the received signal into a characteristic temporal scale. The continuous wavelet transform tracks changes in the temporal scale to estimate the mobile speed as a function of time. This technique requires neither knowledge of the average receiv...

Target Tracking with Unknown Maneuvers Using Adaptive Parameter Estimation in Wireless Sensor Networks

Abstract- Tracking a target which is sensed by a collection of randomly deployed, limited-capacity, and short-ranged sensors is a tricky problem and, yet applicable to the empirical world. In this paper, this challenge has been addressed a by introducing a nested algorithm to track a maneuvering target entering the sensor field. In the proposed nested algorithm, different modules are to fulfill...
